Actress, beauty queen, former MYX VJ, and Eco-Uling founder Aya Fernandez visited Paranas today, August 17, 2026.

Ms. Fernandez, together with Atty. Ariel Baltazar met with Municipal Mayor Elvira Babalcon and Vice Mayor Atty. Eunice Babalcon to discuss Eco-Uling, a social enterprise that transforms coconut shells and other agricultural waste into eco-friendly charcoal briquettes.

Before meeting with the the mayor and vice mayor, Ms. Fernandez also visited the Casandig Upland Farmers Association (CUFA), a local civil society organization in Paranas that also produces charcoal briquettes.
